love story

As I am sure many of you know, my all time favorite show is the bachelor/bachelorette. love it!
Some of our friends got together on Sunday, had a great dinner and watched the finale together.. even the boys. The person we wanted in the end was the one:)

As I looked around at all the girls as the end was near they all the biggest smiles on their faces. Some were crying. We were in love with their love story. That night when I went home, all I could think about was my own love story. It is almost our 2nd anniversary and I feel like it is crazy to look back on when we met.

Kellen and I, as crazy as we are, met at a stop sign. I don't think I have ever shared this story on my blog. Most people know our story because of our engagement pictures being next to that stop sign:)

My cousin Tawny and I were driving to her house from our grandparents house. I am one that if it is possible I enjoy taking the neighborhood route everywhere. As we stopped at a stop sign I glanced over towards the right. I saw this boy walking his dog, I said to my cousin wow that boy is cute! She agreed and started to roll down her window before I left the stop sign. She yelled out to the boy "hey, are you single?" He answered "yes" very shy and slowly walked up to my car. She continued to ask him many questions such as "how old are you?" and then she asked "can I get your number for my cousin?" I didn't realize she was asking for me since he was too old for her and as he told his number neither one of us put it in our phones and then started to laugh when we realized it. I got my phone out and had him repeat it. I then asked what his name was and he said Kellen. I had never heard that name before so I asked him to spell it.

Who knew that this stop sign and that moment of me driving by and him walking his dog would lead to a happy marriage. Sometimes I look at Kellen and I can't believe he chose me! This may sound so cheesy but we are so perfect for each other. We can just sit at home with a movie, cuddle and talk all night for the rest of our lives and be totally fine with it. As long as we are together. We have made it through many trials already. My health I would say is the biggest. We have helped each other get to the temple to be sealed together as a family. We used to say when we were dating that we were the best dang team because we have always felt we make a perfect team :) We agree on mostly everything. He loves kids as much as I do! We fall more and more in love every day.

I love shutterfly books, I have made a book for every year we were dating, our honeymoon, our sealing and our years of marriage. I get so emotional looking through them and knowing that this is going to be my life for eternity!

I love you Kellen! Thank you for always being my best friend and helping me get through everything! I am excited to spend eternity with you and to start our own little family :)

life is great!

A couple weeks ago these girls along with Amy, Whitney and I went to the Westerner to go country dancing! Whitney had talked about her going a couple times and it sounded like so much fun. We decided to make it a girls night (since none of the husbands would go) and go! We went and oh my heck did we have so much fun! We will be doing this again for sure:)
We also did the Color Me Rad 5k! It wasn't a timed run so we were able to walk/jog and just throw chalk all over! It was so much fun.. yearly thing? I think yes!

My niece Abi got her braces off and just turned 10 years old! what the crap? ten! She is looking so grown up! Especially with her braces off.
My niece Ava turns 6 years old TODAY! Ava called and left me a voicemail a couple weeks ago saying she wants her ears pierced. I told her that is what Kellen and I would get her for her birthday if she really wanted to do it.. well she did it! She didn't cry or anything. She was so tough!
Happy birthday girls! We love you :)
Also! My aunt Shauna got married! We are so happy for her and we are so glad she found Jim! He is such a great guy and they are perfect for each other :)

..

Kellen and I went to St. George to see Chet, Erin, Easton and meet baby Max last week. Kellen was able to stay the weekend and then went home. I was able to take work off for a week and stay to help Erin with these two handsome boys! It was such a fun week. I like to brag to Kellen that Easton knew my name by the end of the week :) lol Easton is so cute with Max! He would randomly go give him kisses and would like to hold him. Once he was holding him he didn't want to give him up lol it was so cute!

                                     He makes the funniest faces!

When I came home Kellen and I went to the Bee's game along with his dad, brother and sister in law!
It was freezing cold but luckily some people are smart (Brandon & Nicole!) and had a blanket to share lol
It was a fun night! We hope to go again :)

whats new?

What have we been up to?
We took a trip down to St. George to visit Chet, Erin and Easton along with Brandon and Nicole. We were able to celebrate Brandon's birthday while we were down there and go on a hike! Easton is getting so big and still has his same cute personality! We just love him and can't wait for baby boy #2 in just a couple weeks!

We had a baby shower for Liana & Amelia! They got some cute CUTE stuff.. We can not wait to meet Amelia either! While we were at the shower the men were off paint balling. They had a blast! Kellen talked about it for days.

We went bowling with my family while my sister and her family were here for Easter :) Emily won by ONE point. good job Em! Kellen won for the boys.

Abi & Ava bowling:)

We had a GREAT Easter! My sister and her family stayed for almost an entire week. We loved every minute of it!

We also found out that a little BOY will be joining Brandon & Nicole! We are seriously so excited to meet all our new nephew's and niece.

The Bodtcher side is providing me with nieces to spoil and love, the Robbins are providing the nephews!

lets all take a bath

Kellen and I took our dog Duke to get a bath. We started off by going to petsmart because they only charge $10 till the dog is 6 months old. Once he hit that age Kellen was just giving him a bath in the backyard but when it became to cold we started calling around to see who was cheap but good with our Dukie! Well we decided to give it a try ourselvs! There is a place called Laundermuts and they have an area you can wash them yourself for $10 also! SCORE!:)

So we did it.

2&1/2 hours later we had our clean Duke! That night it snowed. lol But he was happy and smelled so good :) He did so good and just let us do what we needed. Also because of his cousin Lyla he is in LOVE with pig ears for his treat. He loves me most because I give them to him more than anyone haha

We kinda love our dog!

someone like you

I have never been a big reader but Sarah Dessen is an amazing author to me. I have read Someone like you twice now and I just started keeping the moon. I love her books. I can't put them down till I am done... and if you know me at all this is not like me.

I am hoping to read all her books this year and would love to start reading some other books.. but it has to be darn good or I will just put it down lol If anyone has book or author suggestions I would love to hear them :)
