The proposal :)

This morning I woke up to Kellen at my house with my favorite breakfast, we then went and got a massage. Which was amazing!! Then we went to the Daybreak lake and had a picnic, sadly it was too windy and cold we finished eating in the car. (My favorite place to eat). Not to mention there was this seagull who was eyeballing our food. After our picnic Kellen decided he wanted to go to barnes & noble to get the biggest loser cook book. He really insisted on going to the one located by my house in Murray. I was being stubborn and told him "go to the jordan landing one, its closer". But he insisted that he needed a water bottle that he had left at my house a few nights before. I couldn't understand why he needed this thing so badly. We get to my house and he is urging me to come inside to help him find this water bottle. I told him he could find it himself and I wasn't budging. He persisted and I finally gave in and went in to help him. After we found his precious water bottle we finally headed out to the barnes and noble he had to go to. We walked in and we had no idea where to start looking for this book. I asked one of the employee's to guide us to the right section. As we were browsing these shelfs kellen wondered off to another isle and called for me to come over. Confused, because we were already looking right at them I walked over. He pulled out a book and said maybe we should look at this one. I looked at the cover and it was a picture of me and him. My heart dropped when i saw this book in this barnes and noble. I started reading this book and it was a detailed story about the night we met and our time spent together up until that point. As I turned to the last page I noticed kellen was fidgeting about and reaching into his jacket pockets a lot. As I read the last line and it said "there was only one thing left to do, it was time to ask her". As I finished reading kellen got down on one knee and said "Melissa Jane Bodtcher will you marry me?" I said "In barnes and noble??" LOL Then I said YES!

The fun little facts:

Kellen insisted on going to my house to get his water bottle because as we were walking inside he popped the trunk. When we came inside Emily went to "the grocery store" right as we got there. Taking the book out of the trunk. When Emily couldn't figure out how to open the trunk she came back in and asked Kellen to (watch her car so it wouldn't be stolen) so he could go get it out for her.

Kellen insisted on going to the barnes and noble in Murray because Emily was going there a head of us to put the book on the shelf. As we arrived Emily was walking out and I noticed her and I said "Hey there's Emily!" lol oblivious to what was going on. After he got down on one knee Emily appeared from around the corner to take our picture as this was all happening. That's when it hit me that she was there for a reason!

All and all it was a perfect day :)

We are both so excited to share the rest of our lives with each other and can't wait to start building our future's together.

love tree :)

So before Emily and Josh got married (10 years ago) someone gave them a tree or something lol and they have had it ever since. They have had it through all the million houses they have been in and all :) Last week they noticed it was getting to big for the pot it was in so they got a new pot and then suprised Kellen and I with half of it for us! :)

You can't see much of the love tree but it was worth a try lol

When ever I think of a love tree I think of the movie "how to loose a guy in ten days" lol when they have a love fern and he let it die. The best part is when she says.. "you let it die!!" hahaha

anyways..

OUR LOVE TREE..
