happy happy birthday

is it real? is my baby Kohen already TWO. 

 The night before Kohen turned two. his last picture as a one year old. 

I may have cried.. I feel like it was just yesterday I was in the hospital seeing this tiny baby boy. time goes way way to fast. 

 We started Kohen's day by making him his favorite breakfast, a pancake. we then let him open his gift from us. 

Kellen had to work so when he went to work I took my kids to the mall so we could ride the train and as you probably guessed, so we could ride the merry-go-round. Kohen is in love with horses so one way or another we had to get him on a horse for his birthday. he was able to ride and the super kind lady who was running it let Kohen ride a second time for free so he rode a zebra too. he loved it all!

to say I am in LOVE with it is an understatement. I could get all picky about the pic I took but it turned out perfect. (thank you aunt Liana)

Kellen's mom (Grandma Trina) made this cute cute game for k-man's birthday party. We texted her a picture and asked if she could draw it for us. Kellen went to go take her something for the game and she had it all done, looking this amazing! It was such a fun game that Kohen is still loving to play. 

 My mom (Grandma Julie) made his birthday cake. look at how great it turned out? Kohen was excited when he saw it. He smiled and said "neigh" over and over. 

 after Kohen blew out his candles he smiled and said "again".. so dang cute!

Kohen  had such a fun birthday. I wish he didn't begin to have a cold that morning. The poor kid is always sick on his birthday :( december birhdays. blah! 

We loved planning Kohen's party together and seeing him so excited for his new toys that were so sweet of everyone to bring for him. He sure is spoiled. We are so blessed to have him as our son. He is so sweet, loving, happy.. and funny. this kid. ahhh we just love him!

While he was taking a nap on his birthday I decided to go read his birth story I had written. We are so so blessed to have him here with us and we are soooo dang proud of all he has gone through and overcome. He is an example to us and I still can not believe he is already two. 

8 months

Kohen's first months of his life we took a bunch of pictures of him each month with a sticker that said what month. We decided to do the same for Hadley. I took Hadley's today and was looking at Kohen's from when he was 8 months and ran across THIS picture.

I still think it is so crazy we had another pregnancy so fast. When I look at Hadley and think Kohen was her age when we started to tell, I think I am NUTS! She is still soooo tiny and young. 

Anyways..

We haven't taken Hadley in for a check up or anything but just from the pictures and remembering back when Kohen was her age I think Hadley is smaller. I am surprised that she is so much smaller since Kohen came so small. 

 maybe I should have taken them on the same chair but that chair is no longer here.. Hadley is just soo tiny. and obviously loving pictures :)

Happy birthday to daddy! Kellen just turned 26. (closer to 30 now ha!)

can my baby stop growing up. 

No clean pj's? thats ok! he can wear mommy's shirt to bed. He thought it was so funny. 

obsessed is a huge understatement. Kohen talks about horses all day long. Whenever anyone gets on a computer he thinks they are looking at pictures of horses. going to Gardner village to ride these sweet horses is a usual thing for us these days. 

we went for a bike ride and when we stopped this is how we found Hadley lol

When I was little my brothers used to drag me around in a blanket and even wrap it up and do flips with me in it.. so kellen and I decided to do it with our kids. they LOVED it! We have some wild kids on our hands. 

Kohen and Hadley are the best of friends. Kohen wants Hadley to do anything he does. They giggle at each other doing just about anything. 

life with two kids this close in age there is never a slow moment. We are always doing something and someone is always needing something. We feel crazy most days, We feel lucky if our day gives us enough time to shower but we wouldn't trade it for anything. We know our kids came to us when they did for a huge reason. The older they get the closer they are getting and I LOVE to see that they are going to be such good friends.

I have not blogged in so long that I thought I should blog and share what we have been up to.

 We had such a fun 4th of July. The 4th is my favorite holiday by far! We have such a fun family tradition and I love having my own kids to start the tradition with. (love how Hadley is holding onto his shirt!)

 We went and enjoyed some fireworks. Kohen kept saying WOW after each one. Hadley enjoyed them for a couple minutes and then was just way too tired to stay up any longe

 Kohen and Hadley have gotten so close. Kohen wants Hadley to do everything he does. He wants her to sit on every chair, swing, bike that he is on. He wants to show her every toy he has and enjoys kissing her so so often. Hadley loves it! She will laugh at Kohen just walking past her. She is always trying to grab his feet when he is by her and loves when she can get his face. They have recently started to share a room and they love it. Kohen will wake up and you can just hear him saying "Hadley, Hadley" and her just talking away. I love how much they love each other. 

 We had my sister take some family pictures for us since we have not taken any since Hadley came into the family. We do not have luck with family pictures. Last year during the pictures Kohen pooped all over me and this year Hadley pooped on Kellen! ha! Our kids know how to get out of pictures already. 

 seriously though? this pic just makes me cry. I am sooo lucky to be the mommy of these two. 

 I am going to do a little bragging. 

Kohen is 19 months and is seriously so smart. It amazes me how much he knows. He says well over 80 words and is so polite. He will say please when wanting something and will almost always say thank you even without being asked. He is a wild boy! always running everywhere he goes. He still eats so good. He is not picky at all. He loves to fold his arms for prayer and clap at the end. He is my little farmer. He loves all farm animals and plays with his barn and animals almost daily. His favorite animal is a chicken (grandpa randy has chickens). He loves rocking on any chair he sits on. everything rocks to him. He LOVES to read. He will sit and read books with me or alone for a long time (for a one year old boy).. Kohen is such a sensitive boy. He always knows when I am sad or not feeling my best and will cuddle with me or just need me and only me all that day. He loves to swing, it is something we do daily.  

Hadley is 6 months and is so close to sitting up alone and has started to scoot around on her belly and back. another robbins crawler. She has decided she does not like rice cereal and makes the funniest faces when trying to feed her. She loves her bottles and wants to hold them all by herself. She also loves to put her fingers in her mouth while she is drinking her bottle. She is a super easy going baby. She loves all toys and books. Always needs one in hand. She loves to talk and is sooo noisy.

Hadley's special day

Hadley's blessing day was so very special. Kellen was able to come to church with us (he got half the day off from work) and gave Hadley the sweetest blessing. We were so lucky to have so many family members and friends there with us. We can not thank them enough for coming to support us and for all the love they show us. Hadley was so great during the blessing.. Kohen fell and hit his head right as we were walking out the door for church so he wasn't super happy the rest of the day:( poor guy.

My mom and I found Hadley's dress when we weren't even looking for a dress yet.. I decided I wanted to look around and see my blessing dress before getting her dress. Every dress  I saw I just didn't love as much as I loved this one.. We contacted the lady who makes the dresses, made a few changes and got Hadley this beautiful dress:) The back is one of my favorite parts:) 

We wanted to thank everyone who came, who brought stuff to share with dinner and for all the amazing men who were able to be in the circle to bless Hadley.
